THE APARIMA FIRE.

GRADUALLY BEING SUBDUED.

By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Albany, Aug. 21. The latest reports are that the fire is still smouldering on the Aparima, but is Deing subdued. The deck is badly sprung. The officers’ cabin was scorched.

It is feared about 4000 tons of cargo, which includes a consignment of juto and species, has been damaged. In tho bunkers some 800 tons of coal are smouldering. NOTHING FRESH TO RETORT. By Telegraph.
