Fat cattle : igi were yarded, mostly prime sorts. There was a strong demand, and the bulk of the yarding sold at 26s to 303 per lb ; other sorts brought 2is to 255. Best steers, Ln to Ll 4 ios id; others, L 5 17s 6d to Lio. Prime heifers, Lg to Lio ios ; others, L 5 25 6d to L 8 ss. Extra prime cows, Lio to Lii 2s 6d ; good. L 7 15s to Lg 17s 6d : others, L 5 to L 7 ios.

Store cattle : There was a good yarding and an excellent sale. Yearlings brought Li 6s; 15 to 18 months L2 3s 6d to L 3 13s ; two year steers, L 4 to L 4 gs 6d ; ditto heifers, L 4 to L 4 5s ; three years and older, to L 7. Dairy cows brought L 3 5s to LS 15s. Fat sheep : 6000 were yarded, mostly lines of wethers. Buyers for Sydney lowered the values, but took a few at igs to 23s 7d. Prime heavy weights fell to local butchers at 22s 6d to 265. Freezing buyers reduced limits, but took a fair number at 15 6d to 20s. Many lines unfinished were withdrawn to go to the factory on the own risk account, while others sold at 12s to 15s. Prime merino wethers brought 15s to igs nd ; others, 8s 65 to 14s. The few ewes in made 15 to 163 iod for good, and 13s 6i to 14s 6d for others. Fat lambs : 520 were yarded. Half-a-dozen of this season’s brought 8s 6d to 165. Freezers realised 12s 3d to 13s 6d ; inferior, 1 is to 12s.

Store sheep : 3053 were yarded, a mixed entry. There was a good sale tor forward wethers at 14s to 15s, backward iis 7d to 123 6d ; good sound ewes, 12s 6d to 13s 6d up to 15s 3d ; aged, js 3d to Ss gd ; forward hoggets, gs gd to ios iod ; others, 7s to 8s gd.

Pigs : 443 were yarded. Mr H. Prisma, a buyer from Sydney, caused an excited market. Fat baconers brought 36s to 40s, and up to 70s for extra, or 3d to 51+d per lb. Porkers brought 30s to 355, or 5)Jd to 6d per lb ; large stores, 20s to 2Ss ; smaller 12s to iSs ; suckers and weaners, Ss to 1 is.
