THE MILITARY BALL.
There should be a large attendance tonight at the ball to be given in aid of the Veteran’s Home, The preparations are now complete, and everything gives promise of a most successful and enjoyable gathering. The ball has been organised by the local military corps, the secretaries being Quartermaster-Sergeant G. E. Eliott and Sergeant Cruikshank. The gallery will be open to non-dancers at es each. The affair takes place in the Theatre Royal, where there should be seen to night a large and brilliant assemblage of town and country people.
