GAS FROM AIR.

PROMISE TO REVOLUTIONISE HEATING AND LIGHTING.

Cleveland, June 28.

A gas that is cheaper than any fuel now in use and which gives a light that is exceeded in brilliancy only by electricity, is what Henry Soedcr, a groceryman here, claims to have discovered.

Soeder will not tell how the gas is made, but he is now using it to light his store and to do the family cooking. He claims that ho takes the gas from the air. Those who have seen tests of its heating properties say it is likely to revolutionise the industrial world.

A company has been formed to manufacture the gas, and Albert De Forest, manager of the American Steel and Wire Company, and several other men of wealth are among the stockholders.
