By Telegraph—Press Association—CopyTij!)* Sydney, Aug. 19. The office of Quong Tart, the wellknown tea merchant, in the heart of the city, was entered by a man at noon. He felled Quong Tart with an iron bar, inflicting severe wounds on the bead, robbed the place of .£2O, and escaped.
Mr Quong Tart is a much-esteemed Chinese merchant, who is recognised as a smart and honest business man, and who has been very liberal in his support to all philanthropic efforts. There is always a large number of people passing the premises where the robbery took place.]
