By, Telegraph—Press AssociationCopyright. (Telephoned from Napier.) London, Aug. 15. Canada’s subsidy to tho Allan syndicate’s South African line is £30,000 per annum. Great Britain gives £ls-,000. The Daily Express asserts that the King, the Prince of Wales, and Blr Chamberlain interested themselves in the above scheme.
Arrangements have been completed between Great Britain, Canada, the Allon Syndicate, and the Pacific Railway Company for a fast service from Blontreal to Liverpool. In conjunction therewith an improved freight service with Australia is being initiated, and also a fast regular sorvico of stoamers, coupled together by tho Canadian Pacifb Company, pooling tho profits through tho freight.
