The Coronation.
(To the Editor of the Times.)’ Sir, —Id tho service at the Coronation of tho King and Queen the dignatory of the Church presented the King with a Bible, telling him it is “ the most valuable thing this world affords, wherein is wisdom, wherein is the Royal Law, wherein are the lively oracles of God.” Surely, sir, such a declaration is a condemnation of tho system of education adopted in this colony, in so far as the exclusion of the Bible from our schools is concerned. If we shut out the oracles of God, bow can we expect the married people to understand and value its teachings, so as to realise the immense importance of impressing its valuable teachings on the young minds of their offspring as one of their highest dutios ? Wo cannot bo surprised at juvenile depravity when such ignorance exists as to God’s teachings.— I am, etc., J. Peckover,
