IT is hereby notified that it is the intention of the above-named Board, at a meeting to be held on FRIDAY, August 22nd, 1902, to strike a Genoral Bate of' Three Farthings in the £, in terms of Seotion 37 of "The Rating Act, 1894,” and Section 114 of “ The Road Boards Aot, 1882 ”; the said rate to be on the capital value of all ratable property within the said Road Board District, for the period of one year, from the Ist April, 1902, to the 31st March, 1903, and to be due and payable in one sum on sth September, 1902, at the Office of the Board, Lowe street, Gisborne. And in respect of Native lands one-half of the above rate. It is also notified that the following Speoial Rates in the respective Special Districts hereunder mentioned, to provide interest on loans under “ The Government Loans to Looal Bodies Act, 1886," will be payable for the same period, viz (1) The Whole District at jjd in the £.
