PAID NO ATTENTION TO VENICE'S CANALS.
Venice, July 2. J. Pierpont Morgan is the first distinguished visitor to this ancient city who displayed not the faintest interest in her world-famed palaces and historic canals. Mr Morgan went straight from the railway to his yacht. He did not even deign to look at St. Mark’s. °
Venetians felt insulted by his disdain but are relieved that their city has nothing fit to enter into any combination,
Mr Morgan entirely occupied his time ia receiving and despatching telegrams,
