LATE COAST NEWS.

[Times’ Correspondent.] Waipiro Bay, last night. One h undred and sixty store cows havo left Waipiro Bay, on the way down from Waipiro station. They are in charge of Messrs Lloyd, Munn, and Emanuel, who have a high reputation for clover and careful handling of stock. Mr Pollon, who was engaged in the onlisting of names on the electoral roll, has practically completed the work. It is proposed to form a branch of the Farmers’ Union hero.

Coronation Day is being anticipated hero with a great deal of interest. If the weathers keeps favorable we should have a very pleasant timo. We are all rejoiced to hear of His Majesty’s recovery, and intond to do our share towards tho celebra-

tions on Saturday. [ In tho football match Mr Wilson acted as roferee. Waipiro had hard luck in one respect. When 'the time for play arrived, Waipiro had only eleven mon to place in tho field, and tho complement had to be made up from spectators who dicj not shine at the game. With a full team in the field Waipiro would have done a great deal better.

The weather just now does not promise for Saturday. It is raining heavily to-night. We expect the steamer Omapero to arrive to-morrow from Gisborne and way ports. THE OMAPERE. Tho Union S.S. Co.’s steamer Omapere arrived from tho South yesterday morning, and after discharging 800 tons of coal, loft at midnight for Coastal ports and Auckland. PERSONAL. Mr A. P. Agnew, of Tolago Bay, is at presont visiting Gisborne. Mr T. Hoyte arrivod from Auckland by tho Zoalandia yesterday. Mr H. Faram, of Messrs A. Clark and Sons, left for tho Coast last evening. Mr W. D. S. Macdonald, of Tokomaru, is at present in town.

A marriage of interest to our Coastal readers was quiotly solemnised at the Coronation Hotel . yesterday afternoon, when Mr Benjamin Taylor, licensee of the Whatatutu Hotel, was married to Miss Haeebe, sister-in-law of Mr G. B. Oman. Tho ceremony was of a quiet nature, only tho relations and intimate friends of the contracting parties being present. Mr and Mrs Taylor will have the best wishes and congratulations of their many Coastal friends for their future happiness.
