MEAT EXPORT COMPANY.

(Per Press Association), Wellington, last night.

A meeting of the AVellington Meat Export Company negatived a proposal to call up the liability on existing capitial. It was decided to issuo 20,000 new shares at £5 each. The Chairman estimated that £60,000 would be required for new plant and buildings. AILING TROOPERS. The Britannic invalids in the hospita* and at Soames Island are reported to be doing well. About a dozen of the men who remained here after lauding are down with measles to-day. Their cases are also being watched by the Health Department. CORONATION BALL. At the Supreme Court, James (Mangan was found guilty of thieving a bicycle, and remanded for sentence. The jury acquitted Samuel Northcy, son., charged with having a skeleton key in his possession, hut disagreed in regard to Samuel Northcy, jun,, charged with a similar offence. The Court ordered a new trial.
