State Fire Insurance.
[By Telegraph—Press Association.] Wellington, last night. A meeting of the Wellington Chamber of Commerce this afternoon, called to consider the State Fire Insurance Bill, resolved " That in the opinion of this Chamber it is inexpedient that the Government of the colony should embark in the hazardous business of insurance against fire.”
