Tho annual report of the National Dairy Association states that prices during the season more than supported expccta* tions, but factories should not rest on their oars, as there are formidable rivals to face in Russia, Denmark, and the Argentine. The turnover for the year was £'88,929, showing an increase of nearly £9OOO. If members intended to make it. a considerable saving could bo effected. There was want of sufficient storage still in Wellington. A fresh contract has been entered into with the shipping companies for five years whereby large concessions have been secured to members. The profit and loss accounts show a credit balance of £l3B. A table included in the report shows the total value of butter exported from the colony during the year ended June 30th was £1,068,797, an increase of £149,686 ; cheese, £178,027, a decrease of £75,349.
