The report- adds : The fact is astonishing, but none the less true, that the individual working man cheerfully contributes more to his union than soma employers are willing to contribute to our funds/’ The Association now contains over two hundred employers-.
SCHOLARSHIPS, WELLINGTON, Saturday. The Education Department has been directed to formulate a scheme in connection with three scholarships for New Zealand, which are to be founded by the executors of the will of the late Mr Cecil Rhodes. Each scholarship will be tenable at Oxford for three years, and will be worth £3OO per annum.
