"VT OTICC is hereby given Hurt In -I-i pursuance of the powers vested in the Council by .Section 118 ortho Counties’ Act, 1880, and Sections 37 to-M Rating Act. 1894, the Cook Comity Council will, on SATURDAY, 9th August, make and levy ;l General Rate of 'three Farthings in the Pound on the Capital Value of all Ratable property in the County that is occupied by Europeans, to lie due and payable in one sum on the loth August, 1902, IT IS FURTHER NOTIFIED that the Council will ati the same Ume make and levy a Charitable Aid Rate of One-tenth of a Penny in the Pound on the Capital Value of all rateable property in the County that is occupied by Europeans, to be due and payable in one sum on the loth of August, 1902. One half the Charitable Aid Rate paid by an occupier of land maybe deducted from the rent payable by him to the owner of the land so rated.
