Dorset Sheep.
IMPORTED TO NEW ZEALAND,
By Telegraph—Press Associatiou. Wellington, last night.
Tho Gothic brought eleven Dorset sheep to tho colony, consigned to Mr Hay, of Pigeon Bay, who intends to establish a flock of thorn. Thoso animals are tho first of tho breed to be imported to tho colony. Thoy arc now in quarantine at Soamcs Island. Tho sheep show a fine round carcase, and give promise of turning out excellent mutton sheep. It is chiefly for this purpose that they have been imported, as tho breed somewhat resembles merino in the matter of lambing early and often.
