There are, however, grave fears for supposing that the Guilfoyle murder has resulted in a second tragedy. A wire from Yass to-night stales that there are good reasons for believing that the man shot and Lis companion were two chair menders who had been touring the district. The description of the man shot, as supplied by the police, while tallying m some respects with one of the suspects in connection with the Guilfoyle murder, also tallies with one of the chair menders named Heaps. He was accompanied by a youth, and the prisoner is a youth answering to the description of Heaps’ companion, whereas Die second Guilfoyle suspect is middle-aged..
