HOSPITAL TRUSTEES.
The monthly meeting of the Trustees was held lasf night, there being present; Messrs Nolan (Chairman, - , Joyce, Harding, Dewing, and -Johnston. The Gas Company sent a reply regretting that they could not make u differential rate for gas supplied to the Hospital, hut hoped when prices for coal and freights cheapened to effect a reduction in the price of gas. ’ The monthly returns showed : 23 re- , maining from last month, 10 since admitted, !) discharged, ono death, remaining at date 23. The finances showed an overdraft of X'.jii'.i ]7s 8d ; accounts amounting to .I*2ol 2s 9d to be passed, but a requisition of 1380 to come in from the local bodies. Patients’ fees amounted to L’sl 18s 6d.
Mr Joyce urged that a ball should take place during Coronation time. Discussion ensued, the Chairman explaining that a direct canvass had been decided on, but that it had been thought inopportune just at present.
For the Visiting Committee, the Chairman reported that everything was satisfactory.
Messrs I'uohy and Warren were ap pointed Waiting Committee for the ensu ing month.
