(Per Press Association.) .WELLINGTON, last night At the suggestion of the Agricultural Department, the Dairy Cominmee of Uie Wellington Chamber of Commerce have, decided to attend the annual meeting of the National Dairy Association, ,t.o ascertain the views of that body on the question of retaining all factory brands on -butter exported, and the Agricultural Department desires to he guided by the decision of Hie Dairy Association. DUNEDIN, last night. Peter Nicholson, crossing keeper at Gore, a very old railway employe, was ki 1 led in the railway yard Uiis morning. Deceased was standing clear of the line, when the engine approached, but appeared to slip on the frostcovcred end of a sleeper and fell across the rails in front of tho engine, which passed over his body, breaking his arm hip,, and leg. The Fending Chamber expressed an opinion that traffic .should not lie disorganised, hut said it was unwise to take any steps that would embarrass the Government in their dealings with the Company. The Mayor (Mr Goodbehere) was appointed a delegate. WANGANUI, last night.
