BIG FIRE.
INCENDIARISM SUSPECTED. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland last night. The Roberts’ Biscuit Company’s factory in Stanley street was destroyed by fire last night, for the second timo within twelvo months. Tho company was recently formed, and its shares quoted on the Exchange for tho first timo yesterday. It is understood tbut tho loss is covered by insurance. In connection with the fire at tho new premises of J. Roberts and Company, incendiarism is suspected. Tho damago is estimated at .610,000. Tbo building was insured with tho Sun office for .62000, Now Zealand Insurance Company .64000, and Manchester .6500.
CORRECTED INSURANCES. Later.—The following are the corrected insurances of Roberts’ fire The loss is estimated at X‘lo,ooo. This is covered by insurance up to .65450, in the following offices :—Sun Office, X4OO on tho stock destroyed; Manchester, j 6300 on the stock of Cadbury’s goods ; New Zealand Insurance Company, ,64750 on the dcstroyed building, of which amount J 64250 was reinsured in other offices.
