Tka matter of tho Central Hotel license, Blenheim, pending an appeal to tho Privy Council to revise tho Supreme Court’s decision quashing it. camo before Judge Denniston and Edwards to-day. Appellant, tho licensee, desirod to keep the license in existence pending the appeal, lost tho quashing might moan that it would bo treated as non-existent at the next licensing poll. The Court expressed an opinion that tho quashing order should not bo kept in office, as suggested, but that it should be made if tho appeal was successful. The license must be treated as having never ceased to exist. granted to appeal direct to tne Privy Councu.
