SPEECH BY MR SEDDON. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright London, July 18. Tho new Vagabond Club, Conan Doylo presiding, gave a banquet to Mr Soddon. Tho latter, responding to tho toast of “ Commercial unity of the Empire,” said that if Canada and Australia had the granary and butchery, New Zealand could supply butter and chceso. Tho colonies wero content to point tiro way for improved relationships. They did not desiro to interfere with liscnl arrangements, but as between kindred to give tho Motherland's manufactures preference® leaving her to grant anything in return in her own way if able, and without agreement or causing dissonsion.
