Trumblc, Carter, and Snun dors wero omitted from tho Australian team. Wrathall and Troup opened for the homo toum. Wrathall, with a couplo of dozen to his credit, gave Howell a catch. One for 44. Troup succumbed to Hopkins a few minutes Inter, Two fur 06. Brownlee and Bangdon played up to lunch. On resuming, the former .vue> caught by Jones. Three for 86. Jessop failed to get going, being stumped byKelly when be bad bit up 13. Four for 101. Sewell followed, Langdon being almost at onco bowled by Jones. Five for 105. Sowell added three, when Board placed one into Howell’s hands. Six for 105. Brown got his leg in front uftcr scoring six. Seven for 114. Tho eighth wicket fell for tho samo total, Sewell playing Jones on. Huggins was caught by Noblo at point. Nino for 128. The scores are :
