PROCEEDINGS IN FEDERAL SENATE. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright Melbourne, July 15. In tho Senate, on the timber duties item, Mr Glassey endeavored to have tho exemption on New Zealand pine, undressed, removed. The motion was negatived by sixteen to five. Then he sought to have white inserted after New Zealand, but this was lost on the voices.
