CO-OPERATIVE FREEZING WORKS.
(Per Press Association.) Palmerston North, last night. The movement which originated in Wairarapa to establish co-operative freeziog works has spread to this side of the range. To-day delegates from that district met a large number of farmers for the purpose of explaining the details of the scheme. Addresses were delivered by Messrs R. Smith (Pahiatual, Perry (Makura), and D. Buchanan (Masterton), after which resolutions were passed that a committee be formed to act in conjunction with others already forward in various districts, with the object of bettering the prices of fat stock. Messrs R. S. Abraham, Engels, and A. E. Russell were appointed delegates to attend a Conference to be held at Woodville on the 17th.
