Ormond Mail Service.
(To the Editor of the Times ) Sir,—The words “ Post Office ” are painted on the door of a room in fb« Ormond railway station. When is > •' room likely to be utilised for that Under our present daily service, which works fairly well, the mail closes in G;_borne at 2 p.m. and is delivered here about 5, but it would be a very great convenience now that the railway is open for traffic, if a second daily mail could bo made, up at 8 a.m. and despatched hither by the 9 0 clock train, the contents to be delivered by the acting stationmaster when called for. This would in no way affect the present service, and would only entail the loss of time occupied by a messenger to the station in Gisborne. Will you kindly use your influence to prooure this booa for ua ?—I MB, etc., F, 0, Lessen
