Messrs Common, Shelton and Co. report : —Owing to the continued wet weather the entries at our stock sale on > Thursday were small, and of indifferent quality. Cattle were in fair demand, but sheep were dull of sale. Prices reali: were :—Two and a-half year-old steer- . 10s, 20-months steers £2 16s, 20-mo. heifers £3 6s, cows (Inferior) £3 7s, full mouthed ewes os 4d. Messrs Wyllie and Mason report that at their stock sale on Thursday, they yarded 168 head of cattle and 800 sheep.- Bidding under the hammer was very slack, and little was sold at auction, but after the sale they cleared the whole of their yarding, with the exception of 23 sheep. The cattle consisted principally of 21-year-old heifers, in low condition, which realised from £3 100 tc £3 los. • The bulk of the entry of sheep consisted of 6tore wethers, which fetched from 9s 6d to 10s 3d.
