YOUNG MEN ACCUSED OF ROB' BERY WITH VIOLENCE.

By Telegraph—Press Association. Dunedin, last night. Tho young men Robert Phimister, James Sparrow, James Geddes, Alexander McDonald, and -John Willis, arrested last week in connection with the cases of assault and robbery in the flat suburbs, were charged before Mr C. C. Graham, S.M., at the Police Court, with having, on the 26th June, in Cargill road, Caversham, robbed with violence William Farquhar of the sum of 12s 6d in money. Mr Macdonald appeared for Willis. After hearing the evidence, which included the statement made by Willis and Phimister, the accused were committed for trial. Three other charges, in which watches and money were taken, tho total in value being £l3 3s, £l2 Ids, and £6 8s respectively, were adjourned.
