COOK MEMORIAL.
(To the Editor of the Times); Sii;,—lt gave me great pleasure to read your leading article in to-day’s Times in regard to tho above subject, and I hope that tho matter will bo warmly taken up by residents in this district. It has always been a surprise to me not to find a memorial to Captain Cook in New Zca* land, and the present is a most fitting time for tho subjoet to be introduced. I shall be pleased to contribute to the fund when the subsermtion list is opened.—l am, etc., J. S. Cox.
