He alleges some large meat-canning works in Sydney are purchasing thousands of starving sheep, cattle, tags, old bulls, and old rams for canning purposes. Ho states that many sheep so purchased dropped dead in the yard, most emaciated, and in a great number of instances in a dropsical condition. Many animals did not weigh ten to twenty pounds.
