OVER £3OO DAMAGES TO AUCKLAND WHARF.

By Telegraph— Preaa Association. Auckland, last night. The Union steamer Waikare recently when berthing at Queen’s Street wharf, \ drove-her stern into the outer tee, causing a big gap. At the Board’s meeting yesterday the engineer reported that the repairs would cost between £3OO and £350. The Board was asked to fix the amount of damage, it being pointed out that it was unfair to ask the Company to replace with new timber part of the wharf twenty years old. The matter was referred to the Works Committe to report on. __________
