The half-yearly summoned meeting of the Loyal Gisborne Lodge, No. 6087, 1.0.0. F., M.U., was held in the Lodge Room last evening, there being a large attendance. Bro. A. Kirk, Noble Grand, presided. It was decided to take part in the procession on Coronation Day, the members taking up the matter with muoh enthusiasm, the King being an Oddfellow of the Manchester Unity. It was resolved to meet at the Lodge Room on Thursday at nine o’olook. The Superintendent of the Juvenile Lodge (Bro. P. Schwabe, P.G.) reported on the working of the Lodgo during his term of office. The Lodge was inaugurated last October with a social evening. Since then the membership has increased to 35, of which only three were unfinancial. Another social evening took place on Monday night, an enjoyable evening being spont. No siok pay mado during the past term, and tbero had been no deaths. Brother A. Kirk, Deputy Superintendent, would succeed him, and it was necessary to fill Bro. Kirk’s present offico. The report also referred in eulogistic terms to the services of the Secretary, Bro. C. H. Ambridge. The balancesheet showed tne funds as standing: Management fund £8 11s Id, sick fund £55 18s 10d, regalia fund £2 Os 6d; total, £66 10s sd. The report and balancesheet were adopted, and the officers recoived a very hearty voto of thanks for the successful way in which the Juvenile had been managed. The election of officers for the ensuing term resulted: —Grand Master, Bro. A. Kirk ; Noble Grand, Bro. L. H. Humphreys ; Vice Grand, Bro. G. Goldsmith; Elective Secretary, Bro. Russell; Deputy Superintendent of Juveniles, Bro. B. S. Cox, P.G. ... One new member was initiated, and it
was resolved to hold a summoned meeting on Julv 21, when a social evening will be held after the business is disposed of. A meeting of the Loyal Gisborne Juvenile Lodge was also held last evening, Bro. A. AY. Kirk, Deputy-Superintendent, presiding. The following officers were elected for the ensuing term Noble Grand, Bro. J. Peach ; A r ice Grand, Bro. W. Burnand ; Elective Secretary, Bro. H. Mason ; AVarden, Bro. J. Quigley (reelected) ; Guardian, Bro. B. Muir. Five new members were proposed, and one initiated.
