A Coronation Souvenir.
A very handsome souvenir and official \ programme combined, in connection with the Coronation celebrations at Gisborne is being issued, and will be obtainable from the principal booksellers and stationers today. The souvenir, which is the only and official one as applied to Gisborne, takes the form of a pretty booklet bound in dark green figured vellum, picked out with gold lettering, the pages being held tegothor with a knot of red, white, and blue ribbon. The inner pages contain the detailed programme of the day’s proceedings, the names of the various committees set up to arrange the celebrations, and excellent portraits of His Majesty King Edward VII. and Queen Alexandra. The production as a whole is meet artistic, and besides being a handy guide to the day’s events, will be of espocial value for transmission abroad.
