SHIPPING.
Messrs Eichardson and Co.’s stoamor Fanny arrived from Napier yesterday morning with 26,062 foot of timber and a quantity of sundries. She left again for Napier in the evening. The Tyser steamer Indraghiri left Wanganui for this port at 9.30 yesterday morning, and is due here late this evening. The scow Bravo was berthed at the Kaiti wharf on Sunday evening, and yesterday was busily engaged discharging her cargo of coal, which consists of 140 tons for the Gisborne Freezing Works. The Bravo leaves this port for North at the end of the week. The ketch Clematis was in the bay last >-■ evening awaiting a favorable opportunity * .to sail for the North. The steamer Omapere left Westport last evening for Gisborne, via Napier. The schooner Gisborne was discharging her cargo of timber at tho wharf yesterday.
The schooner Waiapu, after discharging her Auckland freight of timber, will proceed to Boat Harbor for wool. The schooner Awanui was busily engaged discharging timber at tho town wharf yesterday. Tho soow Alert will finish discharging about Wednesday. The auxiliary sohoonor Aotoa arrived } from Auckland via coastal ports yesterday afternoon, after a good passage down. Capt. Skinner reports that the Aotoa left Auckland on the 12th, and reached Omaio on Sunday, 15th inst. The schooner worked at Little Awanui, Te Kalia, and Eaukokore on Monday, and arrived at Te Araroa on the 17th, where she remained for a day and a-half on account of adverse weather. The East Cape was rounded on Wednesday evening last, and Port Awanui was reached about midnight. The latter port was worked next morning, and tho same day Akuaku and Waipiro were visited. The schooner finished work at Waipiro on Friday, and also did Tokomaru the same day. On Saturday Anaura, Waipare, and Tolago Bay were worked, and on Sunday the schooner visited Waihau (Loisell’s), Pakarae, and partly finished Whangara. The Aotea finished work at Whangara yesterday morning, and arrived in the bay early in the afternoon. She came into the river on the • evening tide, and was safely berthed at tho wharf at half-past five. The schooner discharged about a hundred tons of cargo on tho Coast, and brought 60 tons for this port, the freight chiefly consisting of flour, sugar, wire, and general goods, besides a V quantity of timber. The work of dis--1' charging commences this morning. * The s.s. Te Anau left Wellington at 4 pun. yesterday, and is due early on Wednesday. ; UNION STEAMSHIP COMPANY’S MOVEMENTS.
