Messrs Dalgety and Co. report : —“ We held our monthly sale.of stock at the Makaraka yards on Thursday. Owing to the late bad weather, several lines of cattle and sheep were unable to got in in time, and our offerings did not come up to advertised numbers. Thoro was a fair attendance of buyers, although bidding was somewhat slack. We quote : i' Sheep : 2 and 4-tooth wethers, 8s 6d ; 4-year owes, 4s 9d to ss. “ Pigs : Weaners, about 2 months, 83 6d; baconers, 245. >• Cattle : 5 to 7-month calves, mixed sexes, from 28s 6d to 35s ; dairy cows, springing, £■" 2s 6d and £8 ; fat cows, from £5 8s 6d. ' 11 Our next sale will be held on Thursday, July 17tb, 1902."
