By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, last night. _ A return is published in to-night s Gazette, giving particulars of the occupations followed by 2557 Chinese residents of the colony. Prom this it appears that 1303 are engaged in mining, 660 arc market gardeners, 238 storekeepers, greengrocers, and fruiterers, 95 ordinary laborers, and 86 laundrymen. The others are distributed among all kinds of occupations from billiard-room keeper to missionary. „
