FARMERS’ UNION.
Blenheim, last night. The complete formation of the Marlborough Provincial Branch of tho Fanners’ Union was effected yesterday, when tho Contra! Executive for tho whole district was appointed, and resolutions wore adopted on various national and local subjects for submission to tho Colonial Conference at Wellington in July. A public meeting, held subsequently, was of a representative and successful character. Mr Glass, Organising Secretary, who has been working up the district, said that at the outßet he met with considerable indifference here, but tho fallacy us to the political party character of the Union had been exploded, and the movement was catching on.
