The Senate gave another rebuff to the Government, the necessary majority not voting in favor of the motion to suspend the Standing Orders to pass the Supply Bill. A fresh notice was given for to-morrow. In the State Assembly Mr Irvine gave notice of his intention to move on Tuesday a motion expressing emphatic disapproval of Ministers resigning their seats and continuing thereafter to administer the departments. The Assembly immediately adjourned.
BRISBANE. May 30.—Lieutenant-Colonel Hutchinson’s body, fearfully mangled,' was found in the evening on the crossing used only by employes of the Roma street station,. Brisbane, and it is not known how the accident happened. Colonel Hutchinson was in uniform during the day with other officers - , and was at the station seeing .the Federal Commandant off.
