TAKAPUNA RACES. By Telegraph—Press Association. Auckland, last night. Tho Takapuna Jockey Club’s Winter meeting was concluded to day in fine weather, and in the presence of a very good attendance. The sum put through tho totalisator was .£6630. The following are the results : Hack Handicap. La Polish (Satman) 1, Ambition 2, Francis Lovejoy 3. Also started : Tahute, Mount Zeehan, Gatelock, Minna, and Gatesman. La Polish went to tho front nearly three furlongs from homo, and holding her own won easily by three lengths. Time, 110 25. Divs., inside £3 5s 6d and LI 6s 6,1, outside L2 11s Oil and LI 9s 6d. Second Handicap Hurdles.—Tresham (Julian) 1, Hadyn 2, Tim 3. Also started : Bellman, Hippowai, and MokomoKo. Tresham was in the lead pretty well all the way, and though not fencing too well, ultimately won easily liy three Fngtls, Tuie, 3 42. Ui.s., ins He £2 Is 6d and 17'. outside L2 1 and 16s. Also started : Stepaway, Annoyed, First Whisper, Girton Girl, and Wherekino. Sentinel was early out in the lead, and stayed long enough to win by better than a length. Time, 1.26 35. Divs., inside £3 7s and 17s, outside £3 Ss and 13s. Victoria Handicap : Scotty (Ryan) 1, Golden Rose 2, Camille 3. Also started : St Olga, Takapuna, Landlock, Anchorite, and Jewellery. Scotty got in front approaching the straight, and holding his own rather easily he scored by a length. Time, 1.24 1-5. Divs., inside £3 and £7 6s, outside £3 17s and £7 Ss. Handicap Steeplchase. —J. Beckett’s Rufus, by Muskatecr —Haracot, 10.10, McGregor, 1 ; Sultana 2, Evening Wonder 3. Also started : Cannongate, \ oltigeur 11., Dingo, Sudden, Parahaki, Tarrigan, Hylas, Kowkai, and Sirdar. Rufus, who was always well up with tho leading division, had Sultana at his mercy in the last circuit on the flat-, and won easily by three lengths. Time, 8.11. Divs., inside LI 18s and L 4 10s, outside £2 Ss and L 4 ss6d. Welter Handicap.—F. Macmauemin’s Eagabrash, by Strathmore Fragment, 7.10, 1 ; St. Olga 2, Moturoa 3. Also started : Sundial, Commodore, Gatelock, Doctor. Ragabrasb, who was always handy, came to the front in the run to the home turn, and won by a couple of lengths. Time, 1.56. Divs., inside £2 6s 6d and LI 6s 6d, outside LI 19s 6d and LI 13s,
