Count von Waldersee has abandoned bis visit to the Cnited States in order that he may accompany Prince Henry of Prussia as representative of the Kaiser at the Coronation. One of a.party of four tourists who started for a tour iu the Rax Alps, in Austria, a few days ago, has been found dead, while of the three others no trace lias yet been discovered. A live whale 66ft. long has been driven ashore at -Juan les Pins, near Antibes. Such an occurrence ia unprecedented along this part of the Mediterranean coast. The greatest speculative craze ever known in Canada has been brought about by the development of the coal and iron industries in Cape Breton.
