SHIPPING.

The s.s. Tarawora leaves Auckland at noon to-daVi and is expected to arrive early on Sunday afternoon. The s.s. Zoalandia arrived early this morning, and sails again for Auckland and Sydney at 10 a.nr. The Government steamer Nile left for Wellington at 1 p.m. yesterday. The scow Hawk (Captain Irving), from Kaipara, brings a cargo of 110,000 ft oi timber for the Harbor Board, which is being discharged at tho Kuiti wharf. After leaving Kaipara tho vessel encountered a fierce gale, which blow her as far south as New Plymouth. Two of the sails were carried away. The Hawk left New Plymouth on Saturday morning, and running before a strong westerly, rounded Cape Maria Van Diernan on Monday, and arrived off Gisborne on Thursday evening. The steamer Elingamite will bo a day late on arrival from the North next week. She leaves Auckland on Wednesday. UNION STEAMSHIP COMPANY’S MOVEMENTS.

First launch on arrival; last, 5 p.m. Wednesday—Te Anau arrives from South, and leaves for Auckland. First launch, on arrival; last, 5 p.m. Saturday. Waikare arrives from South eariv, and leaves for Auckland and Sydney. First launoh, 6 a.m.; lasi, 10 a.m. r- Bunday, Ist June.—Te Anau arrives from Auckland during tho afternoon, and leaves for South. First launch on arrival; last, 5 p.m.
