SHIPPING.
The Government torpedo-boat Nile, in charge of Captain Butt, called at Gisborne yesterday morning for the purpose of coaling. The Nile proceeds to Wellington, from wbence she will tow the steamer Helen Ballance to Lyttelton. The Nile then proceeds to Dunedin. The Huddart-Barker steamer Zealandia arrives from South on Saturday morning, leaving for Auckland and Sydney at 10 a.in.
The Wanaka left Timaru at 9 p.m. on Wednesday for Napier and Gisborne. The s.s. Omapero was working wool at Tuparoa all day yesterday.
