GISBORNE HIGH SCHOOL.

By Telegraph—Press Association.

Napier, last night. Relative to the question of scholarships, and the Gisborne District High School, at the meeting of the Education Board a report was received from the Committee appointed to consider the matter. It reccmmended that the Secretary be instructed to pay the scholarships this year as formerly, and that the pupils who receive them be held as paying pupils. Further, that as £6O is at the disposal of the Board for salaries to the secondary teachers, it be placed with the moneys received quarterly under the District High School regulations, and be used for the payment of salaries of secondary teachers.
