CORONATION CELEBRATIONS.

By Telegraph—Press Association. Timaru, last night. A good public meeting was held this evening. After some patriotic speeches, which were enthusiastically received, had been delivered, a committee was appointed to arrange celebrations for the Coronation, and adopted the following programme : United open-air service, salute at noon, children’s dinner, general procession in the afternoon, and illuminations and music in the evening. Next evening the adults have & . popular ball. On the third day there will be a children’s evening. THE WEATHER. The fine spell of weather has broken., and it is raining hard and very cold tonight.
