LANDAU COLLIDES WITH TRAIN.

An accident occurred at tho Annesbrook railway crossing, near Stoke, this evening, when a landau in which Dr Roberts and other gentlemen were being driven ran into an incoming train. The pole of the carriage struck the second waggon from the engine, and pierced tho side. Tho horses were oarried to the cattle-stop, whero they were jammed. One was killed instantly, and the other had to be destroyed. Neither the driver nor tho occupants of tho carriage were hurt, and tho landau also escaped. It was a dirty night.
