ST. PIERRE DESTROYED AND PEOPLE KILLED.

The volcanic eruption at Martinique has totally destroyed St. Pierre, with inhabitants and shipping.
Volcanic disturbances have been experienced at Leeward and Windward Islands. The cables south of Lucia are interrupted.
