WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL.
THE LOAN PROPOSAL REJECTED,
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) Wellington, last night. The proposal of the City Council to borrow the sum of £233,000 for improving the city water supply was to-day rejected by the ratepayers. Out of 7500 persons on the roll 777 voted against the proposal and 298 for it.
