MELBOURNE, May (i. Mr Peacock has decided not to ac•cept his colleagues’ resignation. The Mayor entertained Mr Barton at a farewell dinner. Referring to the Imperial Conference, Mr Barton said the tme was not yet ripe for an Australian Navy. If wanted they could establish one, but it would have to be on a small scale, while for less money they could have a more efficient service.
