mr t. McKenzie on tour.

Mr T. McKenzie, toWaibemo, has concluded the tour of his electorate, having been everywhere well received. In his'Palmerston address last night he dealt at some length v,ith preferential tariff's aud the frozen meat trade. In reply to a question he said if his vote would turn out the Government he would not give it in that direction. He would rather be attached to a party, but until he found one, and he did not think he would have to wait long, he would, with the consent of bis constituency, maintain his present position. So long as there was a decent bit of Waihemo together he would stand for it. A voto of thanks end confidence was carried unanimously.
