NELSON NEWS.

By Telegraph—Press Association Nelson, last night. The death is announced of Mrs Mary Wotten, aged 84, who arrived at Nelson in 1842 by the Fifeshire.

Mr John Hay, of Auckland, has been appointed master at Nelson College. There were applicants from various parts of the colony and Australia. The'City Council tonight resolved to ask Mr Mestayer, C.E., the terms on which he will report on a drainage scheme for the city.
